Have you ever wondered what it would take to become successful at Digital Marketing?

People frequently ask the question; what does it take to become a successful digital marketer? Are there some particular characteristics or personality traits that come to mind when you think of experts in digital marketing. I have a couple of things in mind but the easiest way I can explain these points to you is through an example. I’m sure all of you have seen the movie, 3 Idiots. If you have to be successful you have to think of becoming the Phunsukh Wangdu of Digital Marketing (also known as Rancho).

I’ll explain why.

“Usse (Rancho) koi aur fikar nahi thi, who toh class jata tha kyunki usse padhai se pyar tha”

-Farhan Qureshi

There was nothing in Rancho’s mind except the passion for learning. The above line just speaks volumes about the type of character Rancho was. He was passionate about what he was doing, just like digital skills is about digital marketing courses in Pune. No matter what project he would take up, he would do it with 100% commitment. He was enthusiastic to the core about learning. It’s only when people are truly passionate about something, do they achieve the success they dream about. They will hardly even notice the success because it is not what drives them. Imagine what you could achieve if all your attention was focused on only completing one task without distractions.

Digital Marketing Excellence by 3 Iditos

“Bachcha kabil bano, kabil … kamyabi toh saali jhak maarke peeche bhagegi”

– Phunsukh Wangdu

Be capable, success will follow. Just to prove the point above, this is another quote from the movie that we could well use in our lives. We all want to achieve fame and success but very few people are willing to work hard to do it. Only when we become capable, when we have mastered something that we are passionate about will we truly be successful. But success isn’t the motivating factor; it is the pursuit of excellence that drives great people. Just like in life, so in your career, you have to be capable of doing things that others find difficult or impossible. You have to strive for excellence and greatness will follow.

“Instruments that record analyse summarize organize debate and explain information which are illustrative non-llustrative hardbound paperback jacketed non-jacketed with forward introduction, table of contents, index that are indented for the englightnment, understanding enrichment enhancement and education of the human brain thru sensory root of vision… sometimes touch”

– Phunsukh Wangdu

Surely all of you must remember this famous line from 3 Idiots where Rancho was thrown out of class for trying to explain things in a simple manner. The above-mentioned lines are the definition of a book he gave to his teacher and when the teacher asks him what that is, he plainly says it’s a book. He was able to use the professor’s own words against him in a very creative manner. A very important trait that all digital marketers should have is creativity. They must be able to market things in a way that doesn’t even seem like marketing. Use all the tricks in the book to ensure that the right message reaches the right people at the right time.

3 Idiots inducing curiosity for digital marketing

“Demo Dikhau?”“Demo Dikhau?”

– Phunsukh Wangdu

It is important for a person wanting to do a course in digital marketing to be curious about everything and to try and invoke curiosity in other people as well. Only when we are curious will we be willing to learn something new and the rate at which the digital marketing course content/technologies changes it becomes very important for us to keep up and continually learn new processes and methods of not just making our work life easier but also to grow as an individual.

Attitude needed for digital marketing expertise

“Dono taange tudawa ke apne pairon pe khada hona seekha hai, Aap apni naukri rakh lijiye … main apna attitude rakh leta hoon”

– Raju Rastogi

I had to break both my legs before I could learn to stand on my own two feet. That line just overflows with attitude. He was willing to compromise on his job (which he to ensure that he stayed true to himself. I’m concluding with this line because although this wasn’t said by Rancho or about him, it goes to show he had such an influence on the character of Raju. It was due to Ranchos attitude behavior and confidence that Raju was able to say and do the things he did. It’s all about the attitude. Having the right attitude is half the battle won in life.
